I grew up in Connecticut and moved to Colorado in 1998 where I actively became involved with horses again.  I ride A LOT in the Rocky Mountains with my barefoot horse.  I have always believed in Less is better, Keep it simple, and Close to nature as possible.  As metal shoes is what people did, I followed along tradition until I saw large man riding a horse 15 miles over rocky trails in Colorado WITHOUT shoes or boots AND, the horse wasn’t lame after the ride.  I had to know more.  That path lead me to AANHCP and becoming a Certified Natural Hoof Care Practitioner.
